About The Effort Edit

The Effort Edit provides educational digital products, prompts, playbooks, workbooks, reference materials, and content about the practical use of artificial intelligence in professional work.

Our content is intended to help users organize information, improve communication, examine decisions, and build personal workflows.

Eligibility

The website and products are intended for adults.

By making a purchase, you confirm that you are legally able to enter into the transaction and that the information you provide is accurate.

Educational Information Only

The Effort Edit provides general educational information and practical tools.

Our content is not legal, financial, medical, employment, human-resources, cybersecurity, tax, or other licensed professional advice.

You are responsible for obtaining appropriate professional guidance when a situation requires specialized expertise.

Workplace Use and Confidentiality

You are responsible for following your employer’s policies, contractual obligations, confidentiality requirements, data-handling standards, and approved-tool rules.

Do not place confidential, proprietary, personal, regulated, customer, employee, financial, legal, or otherwise sensitive information into an artificial-intelligence tool unless you are authorized to do so.

The Effort Edit is not responsible for information you submit to third-party AI platforms or other external services.

Human Review Required

Artificial-intelligence tools can produce inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, biased, outdated, or invented information.

You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all generated output before using, sharing, publishing, presenting, or relying on it.

The Effort Edit does not make decisions on your behalf. You remain responsible for your communications, recommendations, commitments, actions, and outcomes.

No Guaranteed Results

We aim to provide useful, high-quality educational resources, but individual experiences will vary.

We do not guarantee:

  • A specific amount of time saved
  • Improved employment or business performance
  • Revenue, promotion, career, or financial results
  • Error-free AI output
  • Compatibility with every tool, employer, workflow, or situation
  • Any particular personal or professional outcome

Examples and scenarios are provided for educational illustration and are not promises of future results.

Purchases and Digital Delivery

Prices are displayed before purchase and are charged as a one-time payment unless otherwise stated.

Digital products are delivered through the purchase-confirmation page, receipt email, or another delivery method identified at checkout.

You are responsible for downloading and safely storing purchased files.

Refunds and delivery issues are governed by our Refund & Digital Delivery Policy.

Personal-Use License

Purchasing a product grants the individual buyer a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the files for their own personal or professional work.

You may:

  • Download and store the files for your own use
  • Print copies for your own use
  • Customize prompts and worksheets for your own work
  • Use resulting work products inside your own organization when permitted by your employer

You may not:

  • Share purchased files with coworkers, teams, clients, online groups, or other individuals
  • Upload the files to a shared drive, internal library, membership site, or public platform
  • Reproduce, distribute, publish, sublicense, sell, or resell the files
  • Use the files to create a competing product, prompt pack, course, template, or publication
  • Remove or obscure copyright, ownership, or branding notices

A separate team or commercial license requires written permission from The Effort Edit.

Intellectual Property

The website, product files, written explanations, examples, original prompts, worksheets, graphics, layouts, and branding are owned by or licensed to The Effort Edit and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

The Effort Edit does not claim exclusive ownership of general ideas, common AI techniques, facts, or methods that are not legally protectable.

No ownership interest is transferred to you when you access or purchase a product.

The website and products may reference or interact with third-party services, including Kit, Stripe, and artificial-intelligence platforms.

We do not control those services and are not responsible for their:

  • Availability

  • Policies
  • Output

Your use of a third-party service is also governed by that provider’s terms and policies.

Website Availability

We may update, suspend, replace, or discontinue website features, products, or content at any time.

We do not guarantee that the website or downloads will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or available on every device.

Disclaimer of Warranties

To the extent permitted by law, the website and products are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

The Effort Edit disclaims warranties that are not expressly stated, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so portions of this section may not apply to you.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, The Effort Edit will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from your use of—or inability to use—the website, products, prompts, AI tools, or third-party services.

To the extent permitted by law, The Effort Edit’s total liability relating to a purchase will not exceed the amount you paid for the product giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Termination

We may restrict or terminate access to our website or products when we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated, fraud has occurred, or our systems, business, customers, or rights are at risk.

Termination does not grant permission to retain, distribute, or continue using materials in violation of the applicable license.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any dispute will be subject to the courts with appropriate jurisdiction in Washington, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Mandatory Consumer Rights

Nothing in these Terms or our policies limits any consumer right, remedy, warranty, cancellation right, conformity right, or protection that cannot legally be waived under the laws of your country, state, or province of residence.

If a mandatory consumer law conflicts with these Terms, that law will apply only to the extent of the conflict.

International Purchases

The Effort Edit is based in the United States.

Customers outside the United States may have additional statutory rights under the laws of their country of residence. These Terms, our Refund & Digital Delivery Policy, and any limitations or exclusions apply only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Customers are responsible for currency-conversion charges or other fees imposed by their payment provider, except for taxes or obligations that applicable law requires The Effort Edit to collect or administer.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as our website, products, business, or legal obligations change.

The effective date at the top of the page shows when the Terms were last updated. Your continued use of the website after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

The terms in effect at the time of a product purchase will govern that purchase unless applicable law requires otherwise.
